My name is Ryan Thompson, I’m 22 years old and a long time runner ripping myself out of retirement for The Ellie Ruby Foundation and the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon.

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to learn about Ellie and the foundation named in her honor through working with Ellie’s dad. I’m continuously inspired by the Foundation’s mission – to bring smiles and support to families battling pediatric cancer.

I am hopeful that running the marathon will help bring awareness to this great cause and raise vital funds for the Foundation so they can continue supporting their research efforts and the assistance they offer to families. 

I’m excited to help support the Ellie Ruby foundation in any way I can, and hopefully shake some of the rust off in the process.
