I’m running to raise awareness and critical funds for The Ellie Ruby Foundation, dedicated to helping families battling pediatric cancer.

When Ellie was diagnosed with brain cancer at 10 months old, I felt sad/worries and wanted to help any way possible. Ellie is my closest friend’s niece and I have seen the immense difficulties his family went through. During Ellie’s fight the family began raising awareness (communal baking, walkathons, Sunday smiles, gala events), providing financial aid to families, and funding cancer research. Personally, this has been a huge inspiration and made me understand that the human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. But if Ellie can fight each day and push through hospital stays and treatments, we can do this for her.

Completing a marathon is a personal challenge for me, but I’m running for something way more important. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of sick children.
