My name is Bridget Hughes, and I’m a lifelong runner following in the footsteps of my late grandpa, dad, and two older brothers as I take on the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon.

I grew up in a crazy running family and have tackled a few half marathons along the way. In 2022, I ran the Chicago Marathon and swore I was a “one and done” marathon runner, but the energy of race day and running for a cause made it impossible to stay away.

I’ve been passionate about fundraising for pediatric cancer since my time at Penn State, where I was involved in THON, the largest student-run philanthropy dedicated to supporting children battling cancer. I’m honored to continue that mission through the inspiring Ellie Ruby Foundation, and would love your support so they can continue bringing smiles and support to families battling pediatric cancer. 

I’ll personally be running for Ellie, those impacted by pediatric cancer, those impacted by the Boston Marathon bombing, which I witnessed firsthand, and my inspiring family.
